This skillet sardine recipe delivers a powerhouse of omega‑3s, calcium, and protein in a budget‑friendly form. Onions, garlic, and fresh parsley round it out with antioxidants and extra flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

  • 2 Cans of Sardines in Olive Oil

  • 1 Medium Onion (Sliced Thin)

  • 2 Cloves of Fresh Garlic (Minced)

  • ½ tsp Black Pepper

  • ¼ tsp Sea Salt

  • 1 Tbsp Fresh Parsley


Instructions:

  1. Add olive oil and onions into a sauté pan on medium heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the onions start to turn translucent. Stirring occasionally.

  2. Add the garlic to the onions and cook for about 30 seconds.

  3. Add in the sardines with the oil, lemon juice, pepper and salt and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. Remove from heat, serve, and garnish with fresh parsley.
